Organization structure

HIAST has the following organization structure:

Planning and Pursuing Administration

The administration does a lot of tasks.e.g.achieving necessary studies, organizing and supervising the execution of work plans, documenting reports…etc.

Scientific Cooperation and Media Administration

This administration aims at defining HIAST interests in cooperating with educational and scientific establishments inside and outside Syria. It contacts, signs contracts and has agreements with these establishments within the framework of scientific cooperation policy adopted by HIAST.

  • HIAST aims at having cooperation relations in scientific research and educational fields, which include exchanging knowledge, proposing mutual research projects and holding conferences, workshops and symposiums.

Language Learning Center

The center is responsible for teaching foreign languages, and its main tasks are:

  • Teaching HIAST students English and French and enabling them to listen to lectures and read and express scientific articles in the two languages.
  • Supervising the scientific seminars, the students usually present in foreign language
  • Preparing engineers who will pursue their post-graduate studies abroad.
  • Improving the foreign language level of HIAST staff.

Tasks coordination administration

The administration supervises educational, technical and scientific work plans and training courses provided for other authorities (research, development and investment projects, studies proposals, counseltaion or experience).

Some of the most important tasks of this administration are:

  • Receiving application forms to offer studies, consultation, or experience and implement scientific, development and consultation projects.
  • Forming specialized work teams that bear full responsibility over the execution and its consequences of agreed contacts, and award authorities according to the valid regulations of HIAST.

HIAST has the intellectual ownership of works, research and projects achieved within the framework of this administration.

Students’ Affairs Administration

  • The administration monitors HIAST students’ affairs, who registered to get a master degree in engineering or one of the post-graduate degrees (training and specializing diploma and higher studies
