Scientific cooperation
Scientific co-operation aims at keeping in touch with international academic institutions to enrich our teachers’ experience through participating in joint projects of common interest .
Scientific co-operation involves:
-
Inviting teachers and experts from other countries to give lectures for a week or two on subjects that cannot be covered properly by local experts.
-
Holding local and international conferences and publishing project results and studies in international conferences.
-
Sending teachers abroad for short or long periods to train and pecialise in specific fields.
-
Participating in multi-party projects of international sponsorship.
-
Obtaining grants from UNECO, ESCWA and UNDP to execute projects that reflect on education in Syria.
HIAST has signed a number of protocols and agreements with several national and international academic institutions. HIAT has the task of qualifying its own academic personnel through contracts with its top graduates to send them abroad to prepare masters degrees and doctorates, after gaining experience through working in teaching and development projects.
